IHO ENC TEST DATA SETS

The ENC test data setsare divided into:

• Unencrypted ENC Test Data Set    (9 MB). This TDS has been produced by the US National    Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), on behalf of the IHO.
• S-63    Encrypted    ENC Test Data Set (94 MB). This TDS has been produced by the UK Hydrographic Office    (UKHO), on behalf of the IHO. Revised March 2009.
  

A guide, known as TDS Instruction Manual(TIM), has been developed by the IIC Technologies Inc. under contract to the NationalOceanic and Atmospheric Administration (USA). The TIM provides supporting documentation about the organization, understanding, and use of the ENC TDS andis intended to be used along with the data sets included in the TDS. It aims to provide appropriate comments about each test including the information about themost suitable data elements, their location and the expected test results. TheS-63 Encrypted ENC TDS is further completed by a document providing Test Definitionsand Scripts relating to Annex J of IEC 61174.
COLOUR  Graphic Plots of the ENC Test Data Set

In addition to the ENC test data sets, as described above, Annex F to IEC 61174 calls for colour graphic plots of the ENC TDS.The commercial company furuno Finland has kindly accepted to generate, on behalf of the IHO andunder technical supervision by the IHO Digital Information Portrayal WorkingGroup (DIPWG - formerly, CSMWG), a set ofplots which are provided as PDF files. They conform to Edition 3.1.1 of the IHO Transfer StandardS-57  and Edition 3.4 of the IHO PresentationLibrary for ECDIS (Annex A to S-52 Appendix 2).
